Paragraph 1 (English)
Hazrat Usman ibn Affan رضي الله عنه was the third Caliph of Islam and one of the most beloved companions of the Prophet ﷺ. He belonged to the respected Umayyad clan of Quraysh and was known for his wealth, generosity, and kindness. His modesty and character earned him the title “Dhul-Nurayn,” meaning “The Possessor of Two Lights,” because he married two daughters of the Prophet ﷺ at different times.

हज़रत उस्मान इब्न अफ़्फ़ान رضي الله عنه इस्लाम के तीसरे ख़लीफ़ा थे और रसूलुल्लाह ﷺ के सबसे अज़ीज़ सहाबियों में से एक थे। वह क़ुरैश के उमय्या कबीले से ताल्लुक़ रखते थे और अपनी दौलत, दरियादिली और रहम-दिली के लिए मशहूर थे। उनकी शर्मो-हया और अच्छे अख़लाक़ की वजह से उन्हें “ज़ुन-नुरैन” का लक़ब मिला, यानी “दो नूरों वाले,” क्योंकि उन्होंने नबी ﷺ की दो बेटियों से निकाह किया था।

Hazrat Usman رضي الله عنه was among the earliest people to embrace Islam through the invitation of Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه. His acceptance of Islam brought joy to the Prophet ﷺ, and he remained loyal throughout his life. He endured torture and boycott from Quraysh but never abandoned his faith. His patience and sacrifice became a source of strength for other Muslims during the early struggles in Makkah.

हज़रत उस्मान رضي الله عنه इस्लाम कबूल करने वालों में सबसे पहले लोगों में से थे, और उन्होंने हज़रत अबू बक्र رضي الله عنه की दावत से इस्लाम कबूल किया। उनके मुसलमान होने से रसूलुल्लाह ﷺ बहुत खुश हुए और उस्मान सारी ज़िंदगी इस्लाम पर क़ायम रहे। क़ुरैश ने उन्हें सख़्तियां और बहिष्कार झेलने पर मजबूर किया, लेकिन उन्होंने ईमान नहीं छोड़ा। उनका सब्र और कुर्बानी बाकी मुसलमानों के लिए हिम्मत का ज़रिया बना।

He was one of the wealthiest men in Makkah, yet he spent his wealth in the path of Allah. When Muslims migrated to Madinah and faced scarcity of water, Hazrat Usman purchased the well of Rumah and donated it to Muslims. During the Battle of Tabuk, he contributed enormous wealth to support the army. His generosity knew no limits, and he became famous as the financier of Islam.

वह मक्का के सबसे अमीर लोगों में से थे, लेकिन उन्होंने अपनी दौलत अल्लाह की राह में खर्च की। जब मुसलमान मदीना पहुँचे और पानी की कमी हुई, तो हज़रत उस्मान ने रूमाह का कुआँ ख़रीदकर मुसलमानों के लिए वक़्फ़ कर दिया। ग़ज़वा-ए-तबुक में उन्होंने बड़ी दौलत अल्लाह की राह में दी। उनकी दरियादिली की कोई हद नहीं थी और इसी वजह से उन्हें इस्लाम का बड़ा मददगार माना जाता है।

As Caliph, Hazrat Usman رضي الله عنه expanded the Islamic empire further into North Africa, Persia, and Central Asia. His rule brought prosperity, and he continued the administrative reforms started by Umar رضي الله عنه. Despite being Caliph, he lived a humble life, never showing arrogance, and always fearing accountability before Allah.

ख़लीफ़ा बनने के बाद हज़रत उस्मान رضي الله عنه ने इस्लामी सल्तनत को और बढ़ाया, जिसे उन्होंने उत्तरी अफ्रीका, फ़ारस और मध्य एशिया तक फैला दिया। उनके दौर में मुसलमानों को तरक़्क़ी मिली और उन्होंने हज़रत उमर رضي الله عنه द्वारा शुरू किए गए सुधारों को आगे बढ़ाया। इतनी बड़ी हुकूमत के बावजूद वह बहुत सादा ज़िंदगी जीते और हमेशा अल्लाह के सामने जवाबदेही का डर रखते थे।

One of his greatest contributions was the compilation of the Qur’an into one unified written copy. Different regions were reciting with variations, so Hazrat Usman ordered official copies to be made and distributed to Islamic centers. This preserved the Qur’an in its pure form and protected it from distortion forever.

उनका सबसे बड़ा काम कुरआन को एक मुकम्मल लिखित नुस्ख़े में जमा करना था। अलग-अलग इलाक़ों में लोग अलग तरीक़े से पढ़ते थे, तो हज़रत उस्मान ने आधिकारिक नुस्ख़े तैयार करवाए और इस्लामी शहरों में भेजे। इस तरह कुरआन हमेशा के लिए महफ़ूज़ हो गया और इसमें कभी कोई तब्दीली नहीं हो सकी।

Despite his generosity and leadership, Hazrat Usman رضي الله عنه faced opposition during his Caliphate. Some people accused him unfairly, and unrest spread in certain regions. Yet he never used force against his critics, choosing patience and forgiveness instead. This reflected his deep piety and commitment to the teachings of Islam.

अपनी दरियादिली और लीडरशिप के बावजूद हज़रत उस्मान رضي الله عنه को अपने दौर-ए-ख़िलाफ़त में मुख़ालफ़त का सामना करना पड़ा। कुछ लोगों ने उन पर नाइंसाफ़ी इल्ज़ाम लगाए और कुछ इलाक़ों में बग़ावत फैल गई। लेकिन उन्होंने अपने मुख़ालिफ़ों पर ज़ुल्म नहीं किया, बल्कि सब्र और माफ़ी को चुना। यह उनके गहरे तक़वा और इस्लाम की तालीमात से वफ़ादारी को दिखाता है।

Hazrat Usman رضي الله عنه was eventually besieged in his home in Madinah by rebels. Despite having the power to defend himself, he refused to cause bloodshed among Muslims. He continued fasting, reciting Qur’an, and praying during the siege. His patience during those difficult days showed his trust in Allah’s plan.

आख़िरकार हज़रत उस्मान رضي الله عنه को बग़ावत करने वालों ने मदीना में उनके घर पर घेर लिया। उनके पास अपनी हिफ़ाज़त की ताक़त थी, लेकिन उन्होंने मुसलमानों के बीच खून-ख़राबा रोकने के लिए लड़ाई नहीं की। घेरेबंदी के दौरान वह रोज़ा रखते, कुरआन की तिलावत करते और इबादत करते रहे। उस मुश्किल वक़्त में उनका सब्र उनकी अल्लाह पर पूरी भरोसा दिखाता था।

He was eventually martyred while reciting the Qur’an. His blood fell on the verses of Surah Baqarah, symbolizing his love and devotion to the Book of Allah. His martyrdom shocked the entire Ummah, marking a painful chapter in Islamic history.

आख़िरकार वह कुरआन की तिलावत करते हुए शहीद कर दिए गए। उनका ख़ून सूरह बक़रह की आयतों पर गिरा, जो अल्लाह की किताब के साथ उनकी मोहब्बत और वफ़ादारी की निशानी है। उनकी शहादत ने पूरी उम्मत को हिला दिया और इस्लामी तारीख़ का बहुत दर्दनाक वाक़िया बन गया।

Hazrat Usman رضي الله عنه’s life teaches lessons of generosity, patience, and devotion to Islam. He showed that wealth should be used for the betterment of people and service to Allah. His leadership was based on kindness, humility, and sacrifice.

हज़रत उस्मान رضي الله عنه की ज़िंदगी हमें दरियादिली, सब्र और इस्लाम से वफ़ादारी का सबक़ देती है। उन्होंने दिखाया कि दौलत का असल इस्तेमाल इंसानों की भलाई और अल्लाह की राह में होना चाहिए। उनकी लीडरशिप रहम-दिली, सादगी और कुर्बानी पर क़ायम थी।

His preservation of the Qur’an remains his greatest legacy. Today, every Muslim recites the same Qur’an that Hazrat Usman رضي الله عنه compiled. His service to Islam is eternal, and his example continues to guide leadership’s and believers around the world.

कुरआन की हिफ़ाज़त उनकी सबसे बड़ी विरासत है। आज हर मुसलमान वही कुरआन पढ़ता है, जिसे हज़रत उस्मान رضي الله عنه ने मुकम्मल किया। इस्लाम की उनकी ख़िदमत हमेशा ज़िंदा रहेगी और उनकी ज़िंदगी दुनिया भर के लीडरों और ईमान वालों के लिए रहनुमाई का ज़रिया बनी रहेगी।
